Binary Trading Journal. Adventures of Binary Options Day Trading. Woke up at 7:30 am today and it was a cloudy morning. Everything was going well, until a bad streak of losses hit and pretty much wiped out my account. I was using $20.00 and $50.00 units which is a little too much for my starting funds. I finished at 9:30 am. Today’s song of the day: Bruno Mars – Locked Out Of Heaven. Starting Funds: $250.00. Final Balance: $68.20. Day 4, A very bad day. Seems like I might have made a mistake on my balance? Woke up at 7:00 am today nice and early ready for a new day of trading binary options. My trading size is $10.00 today this ends up being a risk of 4.2% of my initial balance. Hoping waking up early will enable me to have more time to grind up my account. One bad trade today, I refused to close a trade for $1.50 loss instead took at $10.00 loss worst part is I had 2 chances to close at $1.50. Very very bad day, I was all over the place and today ended up being a complete mess. I stopped at 9:00 am and will stop for the day. I traded all over the place and made up to $120.00 trades reached a draw down of 100% twice.

Even though I met my goal it was not a good day, I withdrew $48.36 for the day. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day. Today, I will withdraw $40.20 to reduce my trading account back to $250 and lock in those profits. Total trading time ending up being just a bit over an hour earning around $24.16hr not too bad. Somewhere along the way I am sure most of us have heard the saying “mistakes are okay as long as you learn from them”.

Well, this is preciously the reasoning behind starting a trading diary. A trading diary is usually a record of your trades price that you entered, exited the trade, return, etc. However, one of the most important parts of a trading diary that often go overlooked is the reflection section. This is where you write a few sentences about the trade and what you learned. “Why can’t we just make mental notes instead of a trading diary?” Rarely can someone make meaningful money with laziness but additionally it is a great visual log of your trades that can tell you in a glance whether or not you need to tweak your method, etc. Performing these checks on your method every few months is a great way to check in on your performance and how your trading method is working. Furthermore, your reflection section can help you learn from prior mistakes made in trades and avoid them in the future. The trading diary is a gift when tax season comes around as well. Since you record your trades and the specific prices that you entered and exited the trade, entering your tax information should take no time at all.

However, this is simply a perk, the real reason why we have trading diaries is to make ourselves better investors andor traders. For serious traders, I recommend a little more work for your trading diary. Each night, analyze the markets you trade and come up with a consensus of where the price action could be heading. This could be labeled the forecast section. If you have a longer time horizon, analyze your markets using the weekly charts to get a more longer term picture of the market strength. Regardless of the timeframe, this section will be your blueprint as you trade throughout the day, week, etc. Another important section is the watch list section.

Depending on what you trade (stocks, forex, futures, bonds, etc), analyze some specific trades that are showing a potential trading set up. This section will help you keep better track of your individual research. If I am trading futures, it can be hard to remember the specific commodity and the specific contract. Make it easy on yourself and write down some notes on what you saw in the charts and refer to it at a later time. Another good section to have is a rules section. This section is where you can visualize your rules when comes to trading. These rules should include your risk tolerance or risk management. This will remind you of your allowed capital per trade and where to place stops to protect your capital. Furthermore, it should have your specific rules in trading. Refer to this section often to make sure you are following your own guidelines. This will help you monitor your trading to make sure there is no violation of rules.

As you can see, it does take some time to tend to your diary but it is an important tool that all traders should have. If you are serious at becoming a successful trader, then you absolutely must have a trading diary. When you are trading, emotions can sometimes trump reasoning and that is why it is good to have your journal to use as a reference and a reminder of your goals. Trading is all about giving yourself a probable advantage of success and a trading journal will help give you that advantage. End Of Day Trading method For Binary Options. To trade successfully with binary options, you got to have a good method. It can’t be said enough. We’re not here to lecture you though and granted good trading strategies need time to evolve. Many traders find that within the bounds of their busy trading they find such a task difficult to accomplish. End of Day trading simply means concentrating your binary options day trading activities after the close of New York financial markets. Between the period from the close of the New York markets and the start of the Europe session, there is a long gap of relatively quiet trading (Asian Session). With little activities in the markets, traders can best use this time to analyze their charts and formulate their trading decisions for the day ahead.

End of Day Trading: More Efficient Use Of Time. This trading method allows traders to fit their trading activities around their normal day work schedule. Unless you are a full time trader, it is difficult to sit and watch the markets all day long. In fact, there is a risk of over trading if a trader was to stay glued to his trading station all day. Studies have shown that on the average, low frequency traders are more profitable in the long run than those who trade more frequently. With this trading method, there are less clutter or noise and this gives traders a better environment for them to decide if there is a signal or not. Signals which are obtained during this trading period have more probability than signals obtained during intra-day trading. This is because traders do not have to sift through the mountain of insignificant price actions. Many traders become confused and frustrated because they get clouded from over analyzing the market. Starting Off With End Of Day Trading. Before everything else, you should scan the market for a clear signal that will trigger your trading plan into action. This task should not take longer than 15 minutes as you are just simply perusing over the charts with daily time frames. If nothing stands out within the first 10 minutes, then there is probably nothing worth trading. Once you have found a signal, see if the price action match up to any obvious level or levels.

Make it a routine to plot the resistance and support levels into your charts at the start of the trading week. These levels can be adjusted accordingly at the close of the New York markets. Gauging The Conditions Of The Market. The next step is to take stock of what the signal means in the context of the market conditions. You need to see if the market is consolidating or trending and what is the obvious trading range. Even if the signal is strong but the market conditions are not ideal for the implementation of your trading plan, then you should best avoid acting on your signal. But if the signal is strong and market conditions are ideal, you can put your trading plan into action. Trading doesn’t need to be a messy affair and being glued to the charts looking for clear signal. The truth of the matter human beings tends to complicate matters and this where even many experienced traders are guilty off.
